(2) Martin Weeks comments: I have no actual time details, other than It wasn’t far adrift. The train was worked throughout by Black 5 45407, with diesel 47575 on the rear for the Carlisle reversals.I recall we were told the only time the diesel assisted was at the start of the return journey out of platform 1 at Carlisle.
