Notes :
(1) 61264 failed. Martyn Brailsford comments : We were told the locomotive suffered leaking tubes, and subsequently falling boiler pressure which caused the brakes to come on. This first occurred between Driffield and Nafferton (16.51 to 17.54), but the crew managed to recover the situation. The plan was then to run to Anlaby Road Curve, were the B1 would be failed, however about ¼ mile south of Hutton Cranswick station 61264 succumbed to failing boiler pressure again and was failed (18.05 to 22.12). We were informed that there were no EWS men available who signed the route between Hull and Hutton Cranswick so our driver departed by road to Hull to conduct the rescue loco from Hull (66530 which came light engine from Midland Road).
(2) plus 61264 dead-in-tow.
(3) Was booked Hatfield & Stainforth - Applehurst Jn - Skellow Jn - Adwick - Doncaster but this was changed as a result of the failure.
(4) 66122 was used as the power was off somewhere on the ECML south of Doncaster so 90027 could not be used. Loco change at Doncaster (platform 1) was from 23.55 to 00.43!
