(1) Train
was booked to reverse at Claremorris and run to Westport however as a result of
slight late running (caused by train lighting problems early on which delayed
the train at Islandbridge Jn) coupled with a significant amount of IE staff
indecision (and what with hindsight appear not to have been the most appropriate
decisions with regards to the running of the railtour) it proved impossible to
make the booked journey without resulting in a much later arrival back into
Dublin (too late for those who were over for the day on the Ferry from England).
The hoped loco swap with the Ballina branch train took place but the train was
just held to time then sent on its way back to Dublin.
