(1) 37417 on rear.

(3) Up Goods in Down direction between Beam Mill Jn and Grangetown.
(4) Newport East Jn to Thornaby East Jn was via Up Goods No.1 instead of the booked Up Goods No.2.
(5) Original specification was for the train to travel to the Hartlepool Docks Area (Clarence Road Siding) but due to the NR limit moving nearer the mainline, (since the last BLS visit on 12/08/00), this was no longer possible.
(6) Original specification was for the train to travel via Norton-on-Tees East Jn to Norton-on-Tees West Jn, to Durham to reverse, followed by Norton-on-Tees West Jn to Norton-on-Tees South Jn. This was knocked back due to the line closing at 14:00 and also no bi-directional running at Durham. Attempts to change order of route to run to Ferryhill in the morning failed.
(7) Up Main traversed at Heeley rather than the Up Passenger Loop even though we passed 'between' the booked arrival and departure times.
