Notes :
(1) These trips where run to commemorate the 50th the anniversary of the GNR(I)
works in Dundalk. It essentially consisted of four different trips, one from
Dublin to Dundalk and back, one from Whitehead/Belfast to Dundalk and back.
During the layover two local trips were run for local residents from Dundalk to
Drogheda and back. It was originally intended to use steam locomotive No.4 on
the legs that were ultimately worked by NIR 112. However, No.4 was failed a few
weeks before the tour so the NIR diesel was substituted. This tour also marked
the first time that the RPSI operated a full set of Cravens coaches in
preservation. RPSI Carriages Nos.1949, 88, 351 and 1541 were on display in the
bay platform at Dundalk. Nos.1949 and 88 were there as examples of Dundalk built
carriages, 351 is the Irish State coach while 1541 was there to launch the
RPSI's new blue livery for its Cravens carriages. On display outside was former
GNR(I) AEC Regent Bus 438 and a traction engine in steam.
