(3) John Clifford comments: The tour ran pretty much as originally advertised except that the Bromley North branch was expected to be covered after the Hayes branch. Also we were expecting to lose the rear class 73 at South West Sidings whereas it came of at Kensington Olympia. On the day the train was delayed coming up from Hastings by a fault on 73213 near Hildenborough but this was quickly rectified. On arrival at Victoria (first time) the doors were not released due to an alleged incident at Tunbridge Wells requiring police attendance but nothing was found so we left there just 2min late. The only other points of note were on the trip to & from Richmond. Going there, at South Acton the route had been wrongly set so there was a slight delay. On the return the TPWS activated just after leaving Richmond.
