(1) Was originally booked for haulage by 34067 'Tangmere' but it was unavailable having been taken out of traffic with a cracked inner firebox.
(2) Andrew Thomson comments: The morning of the 12th December was clear, cold and frosty; not perfect conditions for a standing start for 60019 on a fully loaded 11 coach train. 60019 struggled up the climb towards Grosvenor Bridge before coming to a stop just short of the bridge itself. After a wait of about 20 minutes the decision was made to bank the train using 37706, which had brought the train into the station that morning. 37706 provided banking assistance until the train was clear of the bridge with the tour then running unassisted. John Clifford however comments that his understanding of the events at Victoria was different from those described above: "As I was told 37706 was due to bank the train out of Victoria to Grosvenor Bridge (the usual move with a steam working). However the TPWS cut in & stopped 37706 at the end of Victoria platform. Consequently 60019 came to a stand by the carriage shed (09.44 to 10.04). Eventually 37706 buffered up again, to assist with the move up the bank".
