(1) Originally uploaded as having run from 22nd to 25th May, in error. Route confirmation required and
loco confirmation on 24/05 when class 37's were given as
double-headed but several reversals were required during the day (Wick, Thurso
and Geogemas Junction) thus some top-n-tailing may have taken place. It was
reported that the outward leg from Salisbury was heavily delayed due to a
derailment at Eastleigh depot.

Off train 'Option E' : by road and
Ferry to visit Orkney.
Option 'F' : Visit to Dunrobin Castle. Then continue by train to Wick. Coach to
John O'Groats and Castle Mey. Then return by train to Inverness.
Option 'G' : Stay on train at Wick and continue on to Thurso, then return to
Inverness by train.
