(5a) Original specification was for the train to reverse around the March
Triangle, (to set the 20s to be lead position for final leg), from March East Jn
to Whitemoor Jn then reversing to March West Jn. Although Whitemoor Yard could
not be accessed while GBRf are preparing ballast trains, it had been planned for
the train to travel a small section of the line to Wisbech, (just enough to
clear the signal), but this could not be done due to a section of rail being
removed to allow the Bramley Line Group to start vegetation clearance on their
line.
5(b) In order to still have the 20s leading for the final section along the WCML,
the train was due to sit in Humberstone Road Goods Loop for the 20s to
run-round. With the failure of 37194 at Kegworth, the 20s hauled the train
'wrong-line' to Trent South Jn then onwards to Toton & the run-round was
performed there.
(6) 37194 stopped with burst coolant pipe.
