(1) A joint venture between The Branch Line Society and TransPennine Express raising funds for the Railway Children charity.
(2) Booked route was "St James' Bridge Jn - via Up Sunderland Line - Park Lane Jn - High Level Bridge Jn - Newcastle (reverse) - High Level Bridge Jn - Greensfield Jn - King Edward Bridge East Jn - King Edward Bridge South Jn - Low Fell Jn - Ouston Crossover" but the pointwork at St James' Bridge Jn had been plain-lined. As the intention was to traverse the St.James Bridge Jn Facing Crossover & the High Level Bridge Trailing Crossover, which now couldn't be done, it was decided to miss out running via, & calling at, Newcastle station to bring the Tour back to on-time.
(3) Tebay Up & Dn Goods Loop not covered due to Point Failure in North End Points. Shap Summit UGL was done instead.
(4) Lineside fire between Bamfurlong Jn & Golborne Jn prevented use of Up Fast.
