Six Bells Junction

Notes :
(1) Doug Lindsay comments: We went up Camden very well, then we were slowed near Wembley as they'd let a freight out in front of us! So we really struggled to Watford with single and double yellows all the way and were about 6/7 minutes late there, and then got going well, up to Tring no problems and left Milton Keynes Central more or less to time, arriving at Rugby 5 minutes early. After that we went to time, except were early at Stafford as they'd not put us inside at Trent Valley Jn as planned for 14 minutes. So we stood at Stafford itself after arriving 20 minutes early. Arrival at Chester was to time. On the return, arrived at Crewe 6 minutes early, ran to time to Northampton, then service trains were out of sync and we were held at Milton Keynes Central and left there 13 minutes late. 10 minutes late at Watford Junction and excellent 'dash' down to Euston arriving 10 minutes late. Overall a good trip, with the bonus of seeing 70013 'Oliver Cromwell' arriving at Chester on the 'Christmas Cheshireman' tour from Bristol. It was very cold at Chester with some snow on the ground, rain/sleet there but dry elsewhere on the return.
