(4) The tour was diverted via Earlestown and Newton-le-Willows, due to a failed freight train between Winwick Jn and Golborne Jn hauled by 88007.
(5) To make up time the tour was diverted and did not call at Preston. Passengers from Preston travelled by service train to Blackburn to join the tour.
