(2) John Clifford's comments: The E.C.S. for this tour arrived about 10 minutes late at London Victoria and this caused a slightly late departure. There was the usual stop at Longhedge Jn, which let the 19.04 Dalston Junction - Clapham Junction and the 19.45 Clapham Junction - Dalston Junction cross our path. A stop at signal W135 let the 18.45 London Waterloo - London Waterloo via Twickenham and Brentford cross our path and the 19.52 London Waterloo - Reading get ahead. We ran a few minutes late around the Hounslow Loop and made our booked stop at St Margarets. Afterwards we ran slowly, possibly, I believe, due to our following the 19.03 Farnham - Clapham Junction E.C.S. We were still late on the West London line as we followed the 20.50 Clapham Junction - Stratford. By not observing the stop at Willesden South West Sidings we got back to running almost on time. At Richmond (the second time of passing) we caught up the 20.59 London Waterloo - London Waterloo via Kingston. Departure from Clapham Junction was just one minute late. There was hope that we might get to London Victoria early, but stops at Stewarts Lane and the last signal before Victoria saw us arrive 3 minutes late. Whilst at the stop outside London Victoria I saw three trains depart and two arrive.
