(3) Delay caused by 2D44 hitting Swans in the Ely Viaduct area. Following trains affected 2R14 (held at CF2960), 2M36 (held at Cogan station CF2966), 2A36 (held at Eastbrook CF2972), 2M38 (held at Dinas Powys CF2976) & 2D46 held at Penarth station, things looked bleak as each train would need to stop for passenger calls at Cardiff Central, but at Penarth Curve South Jn the signallers routed us onto the Up Barry Relief line so we could overtake 2A36 & 2M38.
(4) Due to engineering works the return leg of the tour terminated at Leamington Spa, with road coaches provided for Banbury passengers.
