(1) Route confirmation required. "The first excursion between
Scotland and England started from Edinburgh. It was composed of 26 vehicles and
about 600 passengers, who, of course, had to detrain at Berwick and walk across
to Tweedmouth, the Royal Border Bridge not being then completed."
