Notes :
(1) Tour was organised by a Mr George Lake. On the return leg it is reported
that the train ran through a set of level crossing gates near Selby. Some
passengers salvaged pieces of the splintered gates and at the booked stop at
Peterborough the driver was asked to autograph the pieces.
(2) 60113 carried a very
large headboard, the diameter of the smokebox, with an image of Edmund Denison
the driving force behind the creation of the Great Northern Railway.
