Notes :
(1) David Whittaker comments: The tour had been advertised as a high speed trip
to Exeter, in 175 minutes, but on arrival at Waterloo travellers were informed
that this would not be possible due to engineering works. In addition it had
originally been planned that both branch line trains would be hauled by Adams '
0415' tank engines, but in the event only one was available and an 02
was substituted. Even so, some good running was made by both trains and it seems
to have been an enjoyable and successful day.
