Full details of this tour,
including a log prepared by the late R.A.H. Weight, can be found in Trains
Illustrated for June 1954. The original proposal had been for a T9 4‑4‑0 to
pilot from Bournemouth, but tablet-catching apparatus could not be fitted to any
available T9. 30932 was turned at Bath (ref. photograph (pp.74/5) in
"Footplate over the Mendips" by Peter Smith [Oxford Publishing Co.,1978]) and
obviously also at Evercreech Junction.
