Notes :
(1) Route & loco confirmation required - above is from pre-tour advertising. 58850 + 58856 known to have traversed the Cromford & High Peak line. SLS members were invited to travel on this train.
(2) Photographic evidence confirms 40416 (tender-first) at East Wirksworth on 4x corridor coaches and 43618 on same stock at Middleton Top (but more likely to have been Friden). Tony Robinson adds: I recently purchased a photo of 43618 on this tour, reporting No M990, at Harpur Hill on the Cromford and High Peak Line. The train is halted at a wired off establishment with army style huts, probably Air Ministry No.26 MU (Maintenance Unit) with some standard gauge vans visible.  26MU closed around 1961. The train has 3 BR Mark 1 coaches, one with a brake section and one elderly clerestorey coach.
