(1) Route & loco confirmation required. To commemorate the 125th anniversary of the opening of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway. SLS members were invited to travel on this train. Stops were to be made at a number of places of historical interest. The stops at Edge Hill and Ordsall Lane were to include time for the passengers to walk down the respective goods branches to the original L&MR termini at Liverpool Crown Street and Manchester Liverpool Road.
