Notes :
(1) There were two question-marks over the running date of this tour; a ticket letter seen by the Webmaster was dated 8th May but a timing sheet also dated 8th May had been over-written as 7th May. Was this a re-dating of the tour to one day earlier, or simply a typo on the paperwork? The tour ticket clearly states 7th May (as does the tour itinerary seen by the Webmaster and also a BLS book detailing their first 40 years) however at least one source details a BLS tour using 54465 and stock as listed, as having run on 1st May 1960, but this seems likely to be in error as no mention is made of a trip on that date in the BLS book.
