Notes :
(1) Shed visits made at Southall and Reading and Swindon Works was also visited. Final SLS advertising described routing Leamington Spa instead of Stratford-upon-Avon as previously advised; Stratford-upon-Avon passengers were advised to use the 09.05 service train to join at Leamington Spa and return home on the 20.50 service train from Leamington Spa.
(2) Loco propelling.
(3) Instructions with the tour timing sheet stated that the train would arrive outside 'A' Shop where steps would be provided to allow members to de-train. Participants were instructed to visit 'C' Shop (and the scrapyard) first, then pass through 'A' Shop and then Reception Sidings. Access to the Loco Shed was only to be made using the subway under the Gloucester line (crossing the running lines was stated in no uncertain terms as: STRICTLY FORBIDDEN).
