(1) Connections were available from Manchester Central (10.25d), Sheffield Midland (09.39d) and Derby Midland (09.40d) to Chinley. Upon termination of the days proceedings members were taken by bus from Cromford Wharf to Matlock to catch either the 7.31pm 'A' to Manchester Central and 6.33pm 'B' or 7.07pm 'A' service trains to Derby.
(2) Photographic evidence suggests the stock for this part of the tour was actually formed as: 2x Goods Brakes + 7x non-fitted wagons + 2x Goods Brakes.
(3) Train given as 'assisted from Hindlow to
Harpur Hill Mines Research Centre' by 43822 - was this double-headed?
