(1) Brian Halford comments: On a number of dates in 1967 and 1968 the GWS arranged a special steam hauled service between Cholsey and Wallingford in connection with their Open Days and Wallingford Carnival. Further details (dates, traction & times) required. Webmasters comment: As operating days in April and July 1968 employed loco 1466 hauling an ex-GWR auto coach so it seems likely this may have been used also on this date (confirmation required). It also seems most likely there were multiple round trips made.
