(1) Extracted from Irish Railfans News, October 1968; Munster Area of the Irish Railway Record Society arranged another of its fascinating “little” outings to out of the way places on 20 July, when the Castlemungret Cement Factory Branch was traversed. This first ever passenger train on the line consisted of C220 and one coach - standard 1474. After a pause at the factory for an official group photo, the party were able to inspect the extensive track layout and loading facilities.
