(1) This was originally an E.C.S. move however a decision was made to open this to the public for a flat 20/- fare.
(2) Dave McGee comments: I record in my diary that the journey was scheduled for 133 minutes, but Scotsman did it in 128mins (121 net). The return was behind a class 40 and that seemed, then, a bitter disappointment.
