(1) Was booked to bypass Gloucester.
(2) Steve Marshall comments: I've been given  some undated cine film showing 4555 on a special train at Buckfastleigh (blue & grey coaches, 4555 at Asburton end of train). Then the next view is of 1638 standing on the same stock (blue & grey set again) at Asburton. Your 'Last train to Asburton' entry in 1971 doesn't match up, but the LCGB tour of 9/5/70 does match loco wise. I think the tour of 9/5/70 may have gone through to Asburton, although it shows as terminating at Buckfastleigh.
