Notes :
(1) Vivian Jones comments: at Stoke on Trent we boarded 12 road buses and were taken to Alton Towers (gardens and house only then). The train was pulled by one Brush type 4 (class 47) throughout same loco there and back (number not noted although it may have been 1812 but not sure (this is a light loco I photographed at Stoke on Trent; unsure if it went on to be our train loco or not).
