Notes :
(1) Contemporary sources mention the use of 5178 working this tour to Oban but this is believed to be in error. SRPS Archivist Brian A. Knights gives the loco ID as 5176 throughout and John McIntyre photographed the train at Cardross after coming off the West Highland line when 5176 was definitely working the train.
