(1) There appears to be some doubt as to whether this train ran - records mention a connecting 4-car DMU running from Machynlleth to Towyn off a Merrymaker train bound for Aberystwyth. The tour, if it ran, was advertised to allow visits to the TR and Fairbourne Railway with coaches between Abergynolwyn and Fairbourne (in both directions).
