Notes :
(1) Run by British Rail in association with the Stephenson Locomotive Society to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the preservation of L.B.S.C. 0-4-2 214 'Gladstone' which was on display in the yard of the National Railway Museum. It was hoped to have electric locomotive 87001 'Stephenson' to haul the special train as far as Stockport but this did not happen.
(2) Booked route was direct from Colwich to Stone.
(3) Booked route was Stafford - Bushbury Jn - Bescot - Aston - Stechford - Coventry - Rugby.
(4) Train over-ran the stop at Rugby and had to set-back to the platform.
