(1) This tour 'shared' 6115 'Scots Guardsman' with the M&GNJRS 'Yorkshire Ranger' tour run the same day. The tours were due to pass each other at Church Fenton at 15.19 but didn't due to this tour running late. When the other train arrived back at York 35028 was still waiting to couple-up to the stock of this tour.
(2) Mike Musty comments: a defective coach was shunted out of the formation at Derby on the return leg (by 08178).
