(2) Andy Pullar comments: "I think there was a series of steam hauled
trains on specified dates promoted by BR during the Summer Holiday period and
advertised in the Public Timetable. They were only available to passengers
holding pre-booked excursion tickets. The train was booked off Blackpool at
10.25. I don't have details of the traction or route until I got on at Grange
over Sands. 5690....Grange over Sands, Carnforth F&M Jn, Carnforth East Jn,
Wennington (water stop).....where I left the train for a Ribblesdale bus to
Lancaster. Mission accomplished."
