(1) This repeating tour made extensive use of service trains to/from
Preston, from many locations.

advertising leaflet for the 1980 CME series makes no mention of a run on this
date, northbound runs being on January 19th, February 16th and March 15th only
however Mike Hines confirmed it did run as he was a passenger on it.
