Notes :
(1) Andrew Spencer comments: The stops at Bedale and Leyburn on the outward trip were quite lengthy; long enough for me to leave the train and take some photographs. Judging from the slides that I took, the train appears to have comprised at least one Class 104 DMU. There may have been more than one unit. At least one unit had been refurbished and had the early white livery with a narrow blue stripe at waist level.
