(1) Dick Franklin comments: The original intention was to use 4930 as a way of getting it to Rocket 150 but there were gauge problems. 43106 was the next choice but was not ready after a heavy overhaul so the M.N.L.P.S. were asked if they could provide ‘Clan Line’. In the booked timings a loco change was shown at Chester on the outward but from what to what, I know not.
