Notes :
(1) Recorded as 46229's first run over the S&C.
(2) Jim Arkell comments that 46229
slipped to a stand near Stainforth because the sanders had not been prepared
properly and were not functioning. Mike Musty further comments: we had a boxed
40 assist from behind apparently most the way to Carlisle. I have discovered
40135 was stabled at Skipton when we passed and could well be that one which
would be great to confirm. Harry Harper comments: The banking engine was removed
from a southbound freight & was reported through the train as 40134.
