Notes :
(1)
Midland Railfans magazine listed the loco on this leg as 47177 but Kevin
Law, 'Deltic Driver' and the Chesterfield Observer Website all confirm it was 47042.
(2) On arrival Kyle of Lochalsh the stock was shunt released by 26036, some
passengers stayed on board for the release move.
(3) Unfortunately there was an industrial dispute in the Sheffield area on the
Sunday so, instead of running from Carlisle via the S & C to Leeds, BR
diverted the train from Carlisle down the WCML to Birmingham then via Leicester
to Derby. Visits were made to both Aberdeen Ferryhill and Inverness
depots.
