Notes :
(1) Train banked from Greetland Jn to Halifax - originally uploaded as by 37283
but Alan Osborn suggests the loco may have been 37123 - confirmation someone
please? LASERman says his records were that it was 37283 but this was
information passed down the train so confirmation is still needed.
(2) Booked route was via Guide Bridge & Woodley.
(3) Train diverted between between Alfreton & Trent should have run via Radford
and Lenton Jns.
(4) d/h plus dead 45149 (having run out of fuel). There was a question over the
class 47 identity with one contributor suggesting 47210 was used, not 47209,
however Trevor Bance who travelled on the tour has since confirmed LASERman's
original notes which were that is was 47209.
(5) Alan Osborn lists the reasons for other on-the-day delays
as follows;
(a) Delay at Ashbury West Jn awaiting train crew which had been delayed by
failed train and possibly the subsequent diversion from booked route scheduled
to run via Guide Bridge and Woodley.
(b) Faulty Level Crossing barriers at Melton Mowbray.
