think the train originated at London Euston and I seem to remember the train, although booked to
go to Carlisle, did not get that far due to operating problems; possibly the
wires being down on the WCML. John Broderick's records also indicate that the
steam section was shortened.
(3) Were these legs with 87001 & 86241 part of the tour, or service trains that
fed into and out of the tour as part of the ticket package?
