Notes :
(1) 25236 failed on the outbound leg, Bescot providing a new pair of
Class 25's for the return trip.
(2) The train was scheduled to run to Bridgnorth but was unable to do so because
of a landslide just south of the new Bridgnorth bypass bridge. Coaches were laid
on at Hampton Loade for passengers who wished to visit Bridgnorth. Passengers
were also given Rover Tickets for travel on the SVR scheduled services.
(3) SVR steam engine(s) - identity required. Ian McDonald comments: the three
SVR locos in use that day were 7812 'Earlstoke Manor', 777 'Sir Lamiel' and 5164. I
was on the tour and have recordings of 7812 & 777 from Bewdley to Hampton Loade
and a recording of 5164 although I think this one was only in passing. 7812
certainly took a rake from Bewdley to Hampton Loade and 777 returned same from
Hampton Loade to Bewdley. I believe there were two return trips. 5164 was on a
rake including GW coaches.
