(1) Route originally uploaded as via Stockport to Guide Bridge.
(2) Steve Clark comments : The loco change at Sheffield
utilised 40033 which was removed from the returning Cleethorpes - Manchester
vans. 40024 took over the van train. Only problem was that 33s boiler water
supply had not been topped up at Cleethorpes as they were unaware it was to be
used on a passenger service. Well before we got back to Crewe the heating had
packed up and this was the only occasion I can remember being glad to have a 40
removed from my train.
(3) Booked loco change point was Treeton North Jn. Extent of haulage by 13001
was 1m 20ch, which took it to just beyond Tinsley PSB where 40033 took over
again.
(4) Adrian Nicholls comments: despite de-training passengers at Matlock the
train did continue into the old goods sidings beyond the station to run round
with a fair proportion of frozen passengers still onboard. Others picked up the
rare track by joining before it was hauled back out into the station.
