Notes :
(1) Christopher Walker comments: 40047 did a shunt release at Blaenau Ffestiniog to release 50018 for return working and it was available for passengers to stay onboard for the shunt.
(2) Peter Finan comments: in the various Railway magazines prior to the tour the route was listed to be; Manchester Piccadilly - Stockport - Northenden Jn - Altrincham - Knutsford - Northwich - Mouldsworth - Mickle Trafford - direct to Dee Marsh Jn but a derailment on the direct Mickle Trafford - Dee Marsh route brought a premature end to this route & thus the tour was routed via Arpley.
