Notes :
(1) Pre-tour advertising gave this tour as being steam-hauled by 5407 & 44767 'George Stephenson' between Fort William and Mallaig (two round trips) however a tour itinerary seen by the Webmaster lists the steam locos as 673 'Maude' & 5407. It is unclear how this fitted in with the Scotrail 'West Highlander' which ran on 27th May using 5407. Dinner & B&B was on offer in Fort William on the Saturday and Sunday night.
(2) It is understood that for this train half the tour participants were to travel by train to Mallaig and return by road coach and the other half do the same journey in reverse i.e. outward by road coach and return by rail.
(3) Against 'Train 1' on Monday 28th May was the following footnote regarding the stock used; As the TSO's are required for scheduled services this train will consist of part of the SLOA set. On arrival back at Fort William the rest of the SLOA set will be attached to the south end of the train.
(4) Confirmation is required of the steam locos used and also that 85039 worked from Mossend Yard all the way to Euston (it is confirmed it worked to at least Lancaster). Route confirmation is also required - above is from booked timings.
