Notes :
(1) Reversal points not detailed. Andy Pullar however questions the routing as given above;
"My version of the route is: 08.33 depart Edinburgh then Falkirk Grahamston, Stirling, Cambus Jn, Alloa West (reverse), Cambus Jn, Menstrie Sidings (reverse), Cambus Jn (reverse), Stirling (reverse), Hilton Jn, Perth (break –reverse), Hilton Jn, Newburgh, Markinch (shunt over the trailing crossover north of the station), Fife Paper Mill points on the Auchmuty Branch (I presume that’s Balbirnie) (reverse), Markinch (reverse), Thornton North Jn signal ET567 (reverse), Methil branch to Lawsons Sdg level crossing (reverse) – Thornton North to West Jn – Westfield GF (reverse), Thornton West to South, Kirkcaldy, Inverkeithing, Rosyth Dockyard platform, Inverkeithing (reverse), Forth Bridge, Haymarket and Edinburgh. My notes make no mention of  Inverkeithing - Dunfermline Townhill Yard - Oakley Exchange sidings (on the Comrie branch) - Dunfermline Townhill Yard - Charlestown  Jn - Elbowend Jn (on the Crombie / Longannet branch) - Charlestown Jn – Inverkeithing though I was on the train from Edinburgh in the morning until getting off at Haymarket in the evening. Was I asleep on the railtour or was this section I don’t recall originally advertised but omitted on the day?" Confirmation someone please...
Crinan Dunbar adds: The tour definitely went to Oakley because I have a photo of the unit at Oakley and at Dunfermline Upper. I am not sure if it went to Elbowland or Charlestown and allowed us to get off – we might have gone there and turned around.
