Notes :
(1) 777 failed at Appleby with a dropped fusible plug, caused by the crew being unfamiliar with operation of the injector taps of a SR engine which open the opposite way to those on an LMS engine. Thus, instead of injecting sufficient water into the boiler to keep the firebox crown covered, the boiler was being starved of water.
(2) 47706 was working a following Carlisle to Hull train and propelled 30777 and its train to Appleby.
(3) Route confirmation required.
