(3) RAF Finningley Halt was a temporary wooden structure erected on the downside
of the Lincoln to Doncaster line at @ MP113 just to the north of Finningley
Ground frame for the annual RAF Finningley Air show. All trains from the north
including the Doncaster to RAF Finningley shuttle used this emergency crossover
to access the platform. These shuttles were well known to track bashers for
using the transfer line through the Up Decoy Yard to access platform 2 at
Doncaster station. A system of portable barriers was erected to regulate the
crowds leaving the Airshow site by rail. These barriers separated the people
queuing for the trains home.
