Notes :
(1) Originally advertised to also cover the Edwalton test track (routed: Syston South Jn - Melton Mowbray [reverse] - Edwalton [reverse] - Melton Mowbray [reverse] - Syston North Jn) however the unusual final routing and addition of the run over the G.C.R. was forced upon the organisers by the short-term closure of the test track some 24 hours beforehand. The transfer between Loughborough (Midland) & Loughborough Central was provided by Trent Buses (fleet no's 336 & 701 were used).

Note (from tour itinerary) with regards to the mileages shown in the timing tabulation: At Eggington Jn it is impossible to be completely accurate regarding the actual mileage travelled, as a triple reversal is involved to reach the branch, and the mileages shown do not reflect the length of the train, which is very significant in cases like this. One coach equates to one chain. Road mileage between the two stations in Loughborough is excluded.
