(4) Route confirmation required prior to Gloucester (outward) and post (return) Swindon. John Cassey comments: I joined the train at Gloucester and left at Swindon where the tour ticket was valid on the service train to Cheltenham which was worked by Class 108 DMU B965 set 53616 & 54209. The final routing of this tour was changed considerably from the originally advertised itinerary. On the day another pair of 33’s were due to work between Folkestone East and Ashford via the Harbour line but due to lack of availability 008 and 209 worked the entire section.
