Notes :
(1) NIR 102, which had suffered collision damage at one end, was authorised to haul the train one way only, from Belfast Central to Bangor.
(2) Special was attached to service train A141, making the stock between Belfast & Dublin load 13.
(3) Gordon Lacy comments: As double heading (with 071/111 class) was forbidden in Eire, it was a rare opportunity to have a pair on Northern Irish metals. The railtour was also unusual, in that for the return journey, the stock was attached to the front of the 17:00 service train. Additionally, 101 piloted the combined train to Dundalk.
(4) Passengers from Dublin Connolly to Dun Laoghaire for the return ferry used service train E273 (19.25 Howth to Bray service) formed of units 8122+8322+8109+8309, this booked Dun Laoghaire connection being held to await the delayed A141 service train working.
